My practice is focused primarily on assessment and care coordination with an emphasis on an interdisciplinary approach to aiding older adults as they age in place. As an independent, solo practitioner I service older adults residing in Sarasota and Manatee Counties and Longboat Key, Florida. My experience as a Registered Nurse coupled with my recently conferred graduate degree in Gerontology offer clients a practitioner with a solid medical foundation and state- of -the –art gerontological theoretical knowledge.

Care consultation for emergency preparedness, planning and recovery of clients engaging CareNation’s Aging Life CareTM Services is central to independent living.

When speaking of emergency preparedness we must emphasize the importance of prior planning, clear communication and documentation, as well as, follow-through in the recovery process. The following loss prevention techniques are employed to avoid or minimize harm to those who have engaged CareNation’s services:

1. Conducting a potential needs assessment in case of emergency

2. Partnering with established community organizations with expertise in emergency relief (e.g., affiliated churches, if applicable)

3. Establishing a comprehensive contingency plan
